# The assistants, where your team already talks

No new place to go to ask for help.

Flora, Poppy and Penny can each have their own app in Slack and in Microsoft Teams, with their own name, picture and direct messages. The same approval rules apply as in Floral.

How it works

## A colleague in the channel, with your own access

Each assistant behaves in chat as it does in Floral.

### One app per assistant

Message Flora, Poppy or Penny directly, or add them to a channel, a team or a group chat.

### Runs as the person who asks

Every message runs with the sender’s own Floral access. Nobody sees more in chat than they can in Floral.

### Approve in the chat

Proposed changes arrive as a card you approve or reject without leaving Slack or Teams.

### Private and team replies

An answer in a shared channel shows less than an answer in a direct message, so private data stays private.

### Set up once by an admin

An organisation administrator connects Slack or Teams under Settings, Assistants, Channels and adds the assistants you want.

### Microsoft 365 approval for Teams

Teams needs a Microsoft 365 administrator to approve Floral once for the organisation.

No. It sees messages sent to it or that mention it, in the places you have added it.

Does everyone need a Floral account?

Yes. A person links their Slack or Teams account to their Floral account, and the assistant works with that person’s access.

Is Slack Enterprise Grid supported?

Not yet.
